These Are Days, We Remember...

Ian,

Sometimes a simple song captures what I am feeling - the joy, the sadness, the hope, the melancholy.  As a family, we really enjoyed the 10,000 Maniacs as you grew up. We listened to this song literally a hundred times in the car and at home. It captures the reality that pictures remind us of good days, bad day, but most of all - relationships. Time comes and goes - it goes more than comes for sure. Pictures are powerful adjuvants for memory, drawing out the conversations, the "reporting" as you stood over the bed telling us about your day or night, the text conversations, the phone calls, the games, and other ways we shared life together. Memories provide us with much joy as we wait to meet again. Holidays are hard. Miss you E.

These are the days, ohh

These are days, you'll remember

Never before and never since, I promise

Will the whole world be warm as this and as you feel it

These are the days

You'll know it's true that you are blessed and lucky

It's true that you are touched by something

That will grow and bloom in you

These are the days

These are days, you'll remember

When May is rushing over you with desire

To be part of the miracles you see in every hour

These are the days

These are days

You'll know it's true that you are blessed and lucky

It's true that you are touched by something

That will grow and bloom in you

These are the days you might fill with laughter until' you break

 These are days

These days you might feel a shaft of light make it's way across your face

These are days

When you do you'll know how it was meant to be

These are days

See the signs and know their meaning

It's true, you'll know how it was meant to be

Hear the signs and know they're speaking to you, to you

These are days
